COVID – What to Do Before Travelling

Before travelling, make sure to tell your bank about your COVID travel insurance, download your International COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate and organise any other documentation needed for your destination. Before travelling, you should also get your COVID-19 entry declaration and international driving permit. Finally, remember to take your mask. Some destinations still require masks, so make sure you have one ready for the airport. It’s also a good idea to check the time-frame for the test.

If you’re flying, it’s a good idea to get your vaccinations. If you haven’t had them in a while, you’ll want to make sure you’ve had your second jab and have the necessary masks. You may also want to check with your airline to see if it blocks middle seats. While disposable masks are easiest to pack, don’t forget to bring your masks.

If you’re planning on travelling to a country where COVID is a concern, you should visit the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office. The FCO’s website provides useful information about possible risks and how to get vaccinated. The CDC recommends getting a viral test at least three days before your trip. If you haven’t received your results yet, you should delay your trip. It’s also a good idea to repeat the test three to five days after you’ve returned. If you feel that you have contracted COVID, you should stay home for at least five days.
